IMAM MUDA PALESTINE

ASSALAAAAAMUALAIKUM!

ALHAMDULILLAH..
last night i went for my first tarawih this year,
in a surau ive never been to ever,
being a makmum of an imam muda from Palestine.

its kinda really hard to focus on his sharing
for he was speaking arabic and there was a translator.
but i tried my best to capture some of the important things he said.

being in a land of non-stop war,
he was very happy as he reached KLIA,
to see Malaysia as a very peaceful country,
no war,
people live together as one harmony community,
sleeping easily, not worrying of being killed next thing in the morning.

that makes me think, how is the Ramadhan Celebration in Palestine?
if i have the opportunity to volunteer, i'd be honoured to go.
i always wanted to do volunteer works but never really had the opportunity to do so.
maybe someday.
INSYAALLAH...

as much as i hate it how SOME people still think people in SARAWAK & SABAH live in trees,
im grateful and praised to ALLAH that my country, is still a safe place to live.

let us all pray for the best for them in Palestine.
AMEEN.

p/s: did i tell u its my first 23 rakaah tarawaih? heheh.. ALHAMDULILLAH.. super excited to do it again. :)

MY HOUSE IS A ZOO #1: A TRIBUTE TO JURUK

*JURUK = ditch; open passage or trench, as a natural channel or waterway. (parit)

assalamualaikum.
this is a post dedicated to Juruk.
he's a kitten found in the ditch behind our house.
we heard meows for almost 2 nights.
so the next day we decided to check on it.
andy climbed over the fence
to find that the kitten was all alone in the drain and was very cold.

mama bathed him for he was filthy.
Alep breastfed Juruk.
Alep refused at first 'cos we forced her.
heheh.
but then we put Juruk together with Alep's babies
and Alhamdulillah
Alep was officially Juruk's foster mom.

after a few weeks feeding on Alep,
we saw no weight gain.
Juruk wass still small as how we found him on the first day.
but still,
he was very active, moving from here to there,
following footsteps.

until yesterday,
August 6, 2012
as i was hanging clothes outside,
i saw Juruk laying down
with his mouth open.
i texted mama bout it.
so right after iftar,
andy buried him.

and so that's the story of Juruk the kitten.

Juruk

Alep the adopted mother
Juruk's adopted sister
another of Juruk's sister
more of Juruk

and another one

i could say that my house is one whole of a zoo full of cats, hamsters and a tortoise.
a cat named putih. mind the basin in the drain.
Putih's kitten. she doesnt take care of her babies properly

another one of the kitten

remeber Jibeng the blind cat?

le hamsters in the aquarium

Putih has another kitten but i didnt manage to take her photo. ALL the kittens look awful because they were all raped by the stray male catswho always come over for food. i call the poor kittens 'anak lorong' heheh.

i'll the their story some other time maybe. each and every one of them has their own story.
so til we meet again!
assalaaaaaamualaikum
and
toodles!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SUPER-MAMA!

assalaaaaaaaaaamualaikum and WHADDUP!

49 years ago, another daughter of haji jamail and hajah betty was born.
they named her Sabtuyah for she was born on saturday (sabtu).
26 years later, she was married to a great guy named Awang Hamid and was blessed with two awesome kids.

she's a daughter, a wife and a mother i look  up to.
well maybe not yet a wife and a mother.
but hey, when i get married and have kids, imma be just like my mom!

when i was 5, where i started to learn how to write and read, i wrote a letter to Chicky Hour, some KFC program on tv back then.
i drew a picture of a cat and asked my mom to post it to them.
i received a reply and was super excited about that.
i was 5. how would i know it was a fake letter from my mom?
i only realised it as grow up.

when i was 13, i get in to a boarding school.
i never be apart from my parents so it was kinda tough for me.
i called mama everyday after  class and cried.
i asked her to write a letter to the principal telling him that i wanna dropped out of the school.
i even asked mama to come visit me every weekend.
guess what, mama wrote the letter and told me that she'll post it.
YEAH RIGHT..
she never did.
she knew i'll survive in that school.
and yes, i only realised it after i graduated from the school.

when i was in boarding school,
i wished mama a BELATED birthday.
i can still remember her disappointed sad voice on the phone.
i am terribly sorry for that.

mama sacrificed/sacrifices a lot for me.
i will make you and ayah proud.
I WILL!

MAMA

THANK YOU for pretending to be Kak Tutti and replied my letter. i was soo happy back then.
THANK YOU for not sending the letter to Mr Abdullah Sani.
cos if you did, i won't be who i am today.
THANK YOU for every single sacrifice you did for both of us.
THANK YOU ALLAH for letting me grow well in this woman's womb and let her gave birth to me and raised me well.

then again, i'm sorry for the belated birthday wish before.

you know when me and adek make fun of you and laughed at you, we never really meant it.

i would hug you and not let you go to show how much i'm thankful to have you as my mother.
but if i do that, you wont be able to move and we wont be having dinner for a looooooooooooooong time..
heheh!

I LOVE YOU MAMA!
WE LOVE YOU!
HAPPY 49TH BIRTHDAY!

p/s: im not as good as adek in writing. im writing from my heart. mind my grammars and usage of words. i wanna email this to you but then i might end up crying when you get back from work and that sucks. so i decided to post this in my blog and maybe email it to you AFTER  my semster break, when i'm already back in unimas.. heehee..

I THINK I HEAR THE TURNING OF A KEY...

ASSALAAAAAAAMUALAIKUM & WHADDUUUUUP!

so i was strolling, wait... BROWSING through my video subscriptions on youtube and i found this:

There once, was a time, when we were young.
When pirates and spaceships were our heroes unsung,
and all the battles we'd had won.
Im coming home
.I may be just around the bend.
For this journey onward may have no end, but ill never stop my friend
Find my way home.
Theres something turning inside that helps me conquer this great divide.
The distance is far and wide.Im coming home.
The troubles may wrap around me.
Their tentacles bury until I cease to be.
I think i hear the turning of a key.
Im finally home

i just think it's cute and  i kinda love the song!

IF I HAVE MY LIFE TO LIVE OVER

by Nadine Stair

I'd like to make more mistakes next time.
I'd relax, I would limber up.
I would be sillier than I have been this trip.
I would take fewer things seriously. I would take more chances.
I would climb more mountains and swim more rivers.
I would eat more ice-cream and less beans.
I would perhaps have more actual troubles but Id have fewer imaginary ones.

You see, I'm one of those people who live sensibly and sanely hour after hour, day  after day.
Oh, I've had my moments, and if I had it to do over again, I'd have more of them.
In fact, I'd try to have nothing else.
Just moments, one after another, instead of living so many years ahead of each day.
I've been one of those persons who never goes anywhere without a thermometer,
a hot water bottle, a raincoat and a parachute.
If I had to do it again, I would travel lighter than i have.
If I have my life to live over, I would start barefoot earlier in the spring and stay that way later in the fall.
I would go to more dances.
I would ride more merry-go-rounds.
I would pick more daisies!

footnote: this is a poem I found in one of those psychology books while doing my psychology assignment. i just think its so beautiful. this lady sounded like as if she regretted her childhood/teenage life. so, cherish your teenage life as long as you can!!

A FRESH GOOD START :)

Happy 3rd RAMADHAN!!

Alhamdulillah...
i decided to start wearing hijab this Ramadhan.
i know it's kinda late, but it;s never too late to change.
kan kan kan??

:)

i know i should hv started earlier considering it's compulsory as a Muslimah.
but i guess its a fresh start for me to change.
a muslim brother once asked me:

"why aren't you covering your awrah? why don;t you wear a hijab?"

i could not answer the question and remain silent.
i feel bad. but that doesn't stop me from exposing my hair in public.

i had this one dream somewhere this year.
we (family) were sitting on a round table chatting.
my grandma went out of the blue pointing at me an said:

"that's not my grandchild. ALL my grandchildren wear hijab. she's not my grandchild."

i cried as i woke up.
but no, i just thought to myself: it's just a dream.
and continue on with my sin.
Astaghfirullahalazimm...

a few months ago, my cousins started to wear hijab.
everyone around me are wearing them:
cousins, friends, etc.
frankly, i have that uneasy feeling within me hangin around people with hijab.
i mean it feels weird.
dont get me wrong! it's a weird uneasy feeling in a good way.

and that's when i realised.

i'm not ashamed of saying that i'm following today's trend.
but hey, it's a good trend!
dapat pahala lagi yuuuu....!

we have to force ourselves doing something good or else we'll b stuck in the darkness.
eh? cam pelik jak tapi xhal lah.
you get what i mean rite?

i just wanna share my story.
i hope this could be a good start for me.

INSYAALLAH...

adios amigosssssss!!

:)
